"My art work is an exploration and a journey. I can't limit myself
to one, or even two mediums - I like them all! Often my subject
matter stays the same but my method of expression changes.
I like to interpret my subjects, be it sunflowers, pears or hearts
through a broad range of materials. Acrylics, pastels, clay, torn
paper, ink and even the occassional sheet of sandpaper are all
materials that I use for expression. I began my artistic journey
as a very realistic artist and have since come to embrace a
more spontaneous and conceptual approach in my work.
Today I consider myself to be a multi-media collage artist but
this journey could turn in a new direction at any time."
Jennifer Floyd Donley is an award winning artist educated at
the University of Georgia and Ohio University. She graduated
cum laude with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and Illustration from
Ohio University. She has worked commercially for the
Mansfield News Journal and Ashland University as well as
freelancing for many local businesses. Jennifer loves to teach
others how to express themselves through art. Her students
have ranged in age from 3 years old to 88 years young.
Currently, Jennifer teaches at the Richland Academy for the
Arts where she is the Head of the Visual Arts Department.
She is also an art instructor for the Mansfield Art Center and
Discovery School. Her original artwork, prints and notecards
have appeared in numerous shows and galleries in Ohio and
various other states. Jennifer resides in the Mansfield, Ohio
area with her husband Craig and their two children.
